What affects the price

The price of a website depends first on what it needs to do. A showcase website of a few pages costs far less than an online shop or a custom website with a customer area.

• The number of pages and templates: ten pages built on the same template cost less than five pages that are all different.
• The design: a purchased theme is quick to set up but looks less like you; a design created specifically for you takes more work and sets you apart.
• The features: forms, booking, payment, multilingual support, member area, integration with your software… each one adds development and testing.
• The content: copy, photos, translations. Providing them yourself lowers the price; entrusting them to the provider increases it, but often speeds up the project.

Costs that come back every year

A website also has recurring costs: the domain name (renewed every year), web hosting (with Ouibel, from €15 incl. VAT per month), mailboxes and, depending on the case, maintenance (updates, backups, fixes).

Be wary of "free" offers: the website often belongs to the platform, advertising or limitations appear quickly, and leaving becomes complicated.

How to compare two quotes

Check that each quote specifies: the number of pages, what is included (copy, photos, basic SEO, legal and GDPR pages), the timescales, who owns the website, the hosting and what happens after launch.
